Tejon Residence, Simi Valley
During this eco-friendly kitchen renovation, an outdated kitchen was given an update by refinishing the existing cabinetry, adding new granite counters, and redesigning the peninsula counter for more functionality. We also added a full face porcelain, travertine and copper backsplash, and replaced the flooring with porcelain “wood-look” planks. Now this warm, stylish kitchen goes well with the Old World style and charm found in the rest of the house.
Other updates around the house included enclosing a liquor cabinet in the dining room and adding a pony wall that doubles as a bar and buffet. Window treatments were added in the guest room, master bedroom and master bathroom.
Environmentally friendly materials for this eco-friendly kitchen renovation included using recycled materials, refinishing existing cabinetry, and updating light fixtures with more efficient fixtures.
