Simi Valley Residence
An outdated kitchen was given an update by refinishing the existing cabinetry, adding new granite counters, redesigning the peninsula counter for more functionality, adding a full face porcelain, travertine and copper backsplash, and replacing the flooring with porcelain “wood-look” planks. Now this warm, stylish kitchen goes well with the Old World style and charm found in the rest of the house.
Other updates around the house included enclosing a liquor cabinet in the dining room and adding a pony wall that doubles as a bar and buffet. Window treatments were added in the guest room, master bedroom and master bathroom.
Environmentally friendly materials for this project included using recycled materials, refinishing existing cabinetry, and updating light fixtures with more efficient fixtures.
