Kitchen updates don’t always have to be complete tear-outs.  In this case, the original cabinets were solid, top quality oak that had darkened and yellowed over time.  Instead of replacing them, the old shellac finish was stripped off and the cabinets were refinished with just a satin clear coat.  Classic hardware was added and new quartz countertops and backsplash replaced the original tile. The result is warm and refreshing.

Environmentally friendly materials used in this project include: keeping existing cabinetry and most of the existing appliances, GreenGuard quartz, low VOC finishes and USA made appliances, cabinet hardware & faucets.

Alicia is always a pleasure to work with. I barely recognize my own kitchen!! Love the fresh, new kitchen without replacing everything! Alicia’s suggestions are always thoughtful and focused; she really listened to what our needs for refreshing the kitchen demanded. Thank you Alicia!!
